Aims & Objectives
A 90-minute ‘Interactive Workshop’ was run using a novel and innovative game based on the concept of the ‘monopoly board game’. Participants worked in small teams moving around the ‘Game of Training’ board. Each square, they landed on, would provide a scenario for discussion. Essentially the aim is to discuss a variety of situations that could impact on the satisfactory progress of a student/trainee during their training programme. These could be clinical, research, academic or personal issues. In many cases one individual could have a combination of issues to deal with.
In addition, an oral presentation investigating the use of different members of the dental team, within the primary care, general practice setting, was delivered. Essentially considering the value of ‘skill-mix’, delegating clinical duties across the dental team to facilitate a high standard of oral healthcare for patients.
