Antalya, 7-10 September 2011
The ADEE meeting was held in the beautiful surroundings of the Gloria Hotel and Conference Complex in Antalya. The main meeting took place from Wednesday 7th September to Saturday 10th September and the DentCPD held both a pre-conference meeting and a Special Interest Group (SIG) meeting later in the week. It provided an opportunity for presentations both verbal and by poster to be presented on our work.
The DentCPD pre-meeting allowed all the Work Packages to be reviewed and progress in each area was presented. Dissemination strategy including the web site and publications was part of the agenda. Preparations were also made for the SIG group that would follow this meeting.
The SIG opened with an overview of DentCPD followed by a discussion on the Core CPD topics identified by the project. There was an opportunity to introduce draft guidelines on CPD throughout Europe and the discussion also covered the accreditation (recognition) of CPD. Overall the discussions were positive and complemented the work that had already taken place.
Finally Jon Cowpe was given the opportunity to present the findings and progress of DentCPD at the ADEE Annual General Assembly, which took place towards the end of the conference
